Duplex drum filter centrifuge DTZ
with and without preseparation for filtration of aqueous cooling lubricants, machining oils and other liquids.
System specification
The capacity of the Duplex drum centrifuge is maximum 100 l/min to 5 mm²/s, 40° C per module.
The throughput and the achievable purification level of the filter medium depend on the viscosity of the filter medium and the type of contamination. Purification levels of up to 99% with a grain size limit of 2 µm can be achieved.
Design
The Duplex drum centrifuge is a medium-speed centrifuge with high separation efficiency and large contaminant capacity. Several centrifuges can be operated in parallel due to the modular design system. Preseparation can be carried out through various systems e.g. by a magnetic drum in order to increase the cleaning cycle of the centrifugal drums.
Function
Contaminated liquid enters the centrifuge through an inlet distributor and is blasted by the co-ordinated injection nozzles onto the drum floor. The liquid is accelerated at the speed of the rotating drums with the aid of blades fitted in each drum. The centrifugal force presses the contaminated liquid against the inside vertical walls of the drum. Each drum filters separately from the other. The purified liquid flows over the top edge of the respective drum. The height of the individual drums is offset so that the purified liquid is projected out of each drum independently against the internal centrifuge casing and flows from there into the clean liquid tank. Sludge particles, which have a greater density than the liquid, are separated from the liquid by the centrifugal force and form a particle layer on the inside wall of each drum.
